Prof. Cheng Zhang
Presentation Title: Parallel DNA Data Storage Biography: Cheng Zhang, Ph.D., is a Professor at the School of Computer Science, Peking University, China. He earned his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2010. His research interests encompass DNA storage, molecular computing, bioinformatics, nanopore detection, and nanomachines. Dr. Zhang has published over 60 papers in esteemed journals such as Nature, Nature Communications, Science Advances, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Nano, Small and Nucleic Acids Research. He is a recipient of the National Youth Science Foundation Project A (formerly the National Outstanding Young Scientist Foundation) and serves as the Principal Investigator for the National Key R&D Program of China in the field of DNA storage. Dr. Zhang has been recognized as a leading figure in Intelligent Computing Technology Innovation in China. He is actively involved in several professional committees, including the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, the Intelligent Health and Bioinformatics Committee and the Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee. |
