Prof. Guanzheng Luo
Presentation Title: Decoding the Complexity of Epitranscriptome From a Single-Molecular Perspective Biography: Guanzheng Luo is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University. After a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Southeast University, he earned a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, CAS, and conducted post-doctoral epigenomics research in the Department of Chemistry, University of Chicago. Since 2017 he has led an interdisciplinary team at SYSU that develops methodology-driven epitranscriptomic and epigenomic studies, creating innovative read–write technologies to systematically interrogate multiple DNA and RNA modifications and expand their biological and translational applications, with outcomes published in Nature Methods, Science Advances, Cell Discovery, etc., and supported by the NSFC Distinguished and Excellent Young Scientist Programs and Guangdong Outstanding Young Scholar Award. |
