Presentation Title: DNA Sequencing and Single-Cell Omics

Biography: Jing Tu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southeast University, where he serves as the Dean of the School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering. He was selected for the National High-Level Young Talents Program and holds several key positions, including Secretary-General of the Industry-Education Integration Committee of the China Medical Equipment Association and Member of the Medical Artificial Intelligence Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. In recognition of his academic and teaching excellence, he has received the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and the inaugural “Outstanding Teaching Award” of Southeast University.

Prof. Tu’s research focuses on gene sequencing technologies and bioinformatics, supported by major grants such as the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published nearly 50 SCI papers as first or corresponding author in leading journals including Nature Communications, Cell Genomics, and Nucleic Acids Research, and holds over 10 national invention patents. He also serves on the editorial board of IET Nanobiotechnology and as a reviewer for Nature Methods, Nature Aging, Bioinformatics, and Lab on a Chip.
